Field Trip Jerky is a fast growing brand formed by 3 friends out of a NYC apartment in 2010 who saw a need to transform meat snacks alternatives in a broken marketplace after tasting their first craft jerky on the ski slopes in Vermont. Field Trip saw the need for healthier protein-rich snacks that didn’t sacrifice quality and taste. Field Trip is a health lifestyle brand aimed at providing delicious and versatile snacks that complement a large variety of on-the-go consumers. Today, Field Trip offers a robust line of meat snacks as well as a new plant based protein chickpea butter line.
- Meet Tom
- Tom focuses on marketing and brand development to ensure that Field Trip customers become Field Trip fans. He keeps his eye out for potential partnerships with brands that align with Field Trip’s aspirational mission. Tom was the brains behind Field Trip’s re-brand in 2016—an upgrade that took the visual brand language and the packaging to the next level. When he’s not working, Tom enjoys rock climbing, trail running, hiking and BBQing—he loves slow cooking pork shoulder on his smoker.
- Meet Matt
- Matt is an integral part of developing new flavors of jerky and editing the products accordingly to ensure high quality for every Field Trip customer. When he’s not working, he loves cycling and running in Central Park, Flywheel and skiing the Wasatch Mountains in Utah. Matt highly recommends the Rib Eye from Strip House as well as Quality Meats and the Porterhouse from Wolfgangs.
- Meet Scott
- Scott’s top priority is tending to the team to make sure that all Field Trip team members love showing up to work each day, he holds a 100% success rate. He also collaborates with vendors on production plans, oversees that Field Trip jerky gets to all of the partner stores that bring it to you and tracks internal finances. Scott’s a huge family guy who loves entertaining and cooking great family style meals. Scott recommends spending time in the Catskills—and exploring the surrounding areas—as well as big mountain skiing.
